I've been a Leo fan since "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" and he is really good in this movie. It was also fun to hear him discuss working with Scorsese and their process. One thing he said was how it's so great to work with Marty because he let's you try everything in many different ways, improvise, and find the scene together (or something like that). That does sound like a lot if fun for an actor but I couldn't help thinking that of course Scorsese can do that since -- he is Scorsese! It's not like he ever does anything on a small budget.
Anyway, the movie is a lot of fun (though it kind of celebrates despicable behavior), and Leo's performance is Oscar-worthy. With so many great performances this year though I think he probably will be snubbed again... Anyway the film opens this Christmas and I hope that it will do well.
